Hi, I'm Miranda Ryan!

In 2021 I left behind a thriving massage business in Maine and relocated to Asheville, NC where I tried becoming a full time photographer. When the photoshoots weren't booking I spent my spare time in the garage tinkering with broken furniture and thrifted tools trying to make beauty out of junk.

Buying a miter saw off facebook turned into buying a scroll saw, then a table saw, and pretty soon I had built a full woodworking shop where I experiment with wood, epoxy resin, moss, cyanotype printing, and any other medium that piques my interest.

Becoming an artist was a slow process of discovering I actually had a knack for creating pretty things and letting go of all the reasons I believed I wasn't a "real" artist. Fast forward a few years and a baby later, I am back in my workshop as a full-time artist creating wall art inspired by the robust beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, motherhood, and upcycling materials. I love using items in unexpected ways and integrating vintage finds like mirrors, fish landing nets, and snowshoes in with my art!
